DM Juggy, Joe Ingenito, Founder of The Sagaverse, is a proud husband and father, author, and celebrated Dungeon Master. With a profound passion that took root in 1981, his journey in the realms of fantasy, science fiction, and Dungeons and Dragons has evolved into a permanent part of his life.
During the height of the "Satanic Panic" in the 1980s, a time characterized by widespread fear and misconceptions, Joe and his friends boldly played DnD in junior high and High School cafeterias. Over time, the cafeteria tables turned into a close-knit community, with players forming lifelong friendships like so many other folks around the realms.
With the advent of digital platforms, Joe transitioned to the virtual gaming world, logging over 17,000 hours on Roll20. This digital realm allowed him to extend his table to gamers from around the globe, forging dozens of new friendships.
The first time I ventured into the Village of Hommlet was an experience of awe and wonder. The vivid descriptions of the village, the intricate plotlines, and the complex characters truly submersed me into a world beyond reality. I remember the heart-pounding suspense of facing the infamous Moathouse, our party's first real test, and the thrill of our triumphant return to the village, having vanquished the lurking evil.
My fascination with reading was kindled at an early age, causing me to venture into the sprawling landscapes of J.R.R. Tolkien's "The Lord of the Rings" by the end of my first-grade year. Middle-Earth left me utterly enthralled, each page whetting my appetite for more. This literary journey not only broadened my imagination but also fostered my love for fantasy.
Inspired by these epic tales, I felt compelled to create my own adventures. By the time the final echoes of Frodo's journey had faded, I had already embarked on my first adventure as a Dungeon Master. The thrill of weaving narratives, the joy of breathing life into characters, and the exhilaration of guiding players through a world of my own creation was a heady mix that cemented my love for Dungeons and Dragons. This early immersion into fantasy literature and role-play gaming became the cornerstone of my journey to creating The Sagaverse.
In 2024, I am thrilled to extend a special all-inclusive invitation to adventurers, seasoned and newcomers alike, to join me at my table during my upcoming convention circuit. Together, we will traverse vast landscapes, delve into the mysteries of ancient dungeons, and forge bonds of camaraderie that transcend the boundaries of our game! I always bring cool stuff for my players to enjoy; find me on social media for details!
